Kenya premier league champions Gor Mahia have returned back home from Congo after their disappointing outing at the hands of DC Motema Pembe.
Gor Mahia landed back safely at around 8.40 am and have now turned their attention to the Kenya Premier League.
Kogallo went down 2-1 to DC Motema Pembe in a match played at Stade De Martyrs, Kinshasa with the team bowing out 3-2 on aggregate to crash out of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Kogallo’s loss meant that the Kenyan giants will miss the CAF Confederations Cup group stage for the first time in three seasons.
Gor will next be in action of Wednesday against Mathare United, a side that just like Gor, is yet to taste defeat this season in the KPL.
Mathare have won two and drew five of their first seven games of the season. Gor Mahia meanwhile, have a 100% record with the Steven Polack led side registering five wins in five games.
A win against Mathare United will definitely give Kogallo a morale booster. It will however not be an easy task as Salim Ali and his boys are out to add more salt to their (Gor) injuries.
Gor Mahia is second on 15 points while Mathare United is 9th on eleven points.
