They have been Playing football with skill and passion in the National Super League (NSL) and it is now time to show what they got in the Kenya Premier League (KPL).
Wazito FC have today been crowned the National Super League Champions after an emphatic performance against St. Joseph’s Youth on the final match day of the NSL.
The Kenyan Man City ran riot against St. Joseph’s scoring 7 goals with their already mauled opponents only managing to find the back of the net once at Camp Toyoyo.
A hatrick by Joseph Waithira, brace by Amos Asembeka and a goal each by Paul Acquah and Derrick Onyango granted Wazito the much needed victory.
Elembo John scored the only goal for the Nakuru-based side in the 86th minute.
After the victory, Wazito FC President Ricardo Badoer could not Hide his Joy as he affirmed that his team are worthy champions.
“Wazito FC I can not express the pride I feel for being part of this team! The players and staff have worked hard and deserve calling themselfs Champions!” He Said.
“Lets enjoy the Moment , Now is time for us to plan for our main party on the 13th of July,” He added.
